At Skills and Ability School, Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour every year. In preparation for the event, the students practice for the March past much in advance. They learn to maintain discipline, follow instructions and march to the beats of the drum. Students prepare to give speeches and sing patriotic songs for the event and this helps in developing a sense of self confidence and over coming stage fright.
To mark India’s 72nd year of Independence, the school building was decorated with tricolour chart paper and tricolour “birds”. The spirit of patriotism was well depicted by the artistic and creative drawings/charts made by our students which were displayed all over the campus.
Our students performed a splendid display of march-past followed by a salute to our National Flag. Our tiny tots from the Junior group performed the drill. Patriotic speeches were delivered by our students which was presented in two different languages i.e. English and Marathi. Melodious songs depicting the spirit of patriotism was sung beautifully by our Parent Teacher Association members.
