A Yoga session was conducted for all the Parents and Students of the Skills and Ability School on June 21, 2023, to mark the occasion of International Yoga Day. The volunteers from Ambika Yog Kutir demonstrated various yoga positions which have great physical and mental benefits, especially for children with special needs. The parents were educated about the importance and benefits of following a consistent and disciplined practice of Yoga with their children.

Continuing the annual practice, the event provided a platform to showcase the exceptional talents of our students, who adeptly demonstrated their learned skills through their artwork. Each student was able to convey their creative expressions, and together, we commemorated the extraordinary ability of art to break down barriers and unite us as a diverse and talented community.

On September 26, 2023, a Fancy Dress Competition was organized at the School. Students donned costumes representing animals, birds, insects, fruits, vegetables, community helpers, space explorers, and even kitchen appliances. The school's annual event unfolded as a spectacular celebration of achievements, talent, and camaraderie. The theme of the event was ‘The Cultural Kaleidoscope’. The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome song and a series of mesmerizing dance performances, showcasing the diverse cultural tapestry within our nation. Each performance left the audience spellbound, a testament to the dedication and skill of the students.
Adding an insight into the lives of special needs children and their families, a skit took center stage, weaving a narrative that resonated with the audience. The impeccable acting left everyone in splits, reinforcing the importance of a special school in their lives.
The behind-the-scenes video provided a captivating glimpse into the tireless efforts and creativity invested in making the event a success. It offered a heartfelt tribute to the teamwork, dedication, and passion of both students and staff.
The highlight of the evening was the graduation ceremony. The air was charged with mixed emotions as students’ names were being announced. Parents and teachers looked on with pride, knowing they had played pivotal roles in shaping these young minds.

Republic Day 2024 (January 26, 2024) »
The Republic Day celebration at the Skills and Ability School was a perfect combination of unity and diversity. Students displayed discipline and patriotism through a spirited march past. The stage came alive with enchanting dance performances by both teachers and students, showcasing their artistic abilities. The heart of the event resonated as parents eloquently spoke about differently-abled children, emphasizing the importance of inclusion.
This multifaceted celebration not only honored the nation but also highlighted the significance of embracing diversity, fostering a sense of unity and understanding amongst ourselves. There was a felicitation ceremony for the winners of the Fancy dress Competition and Cookery Competition held in the academic year 2023-2024. Through these varied expressions, the event embodied the true spirit of Republic Day, celebrating both heritage and the collective strength of a harmonious society.
The highlight of the event was our own students anchoring for the first time for a major event! Their articulate delivery and engaging presence significantly enhanced the event, leaving a lasting impression on all the attendees.
